For the past eight years Chef/Partner Enrique Martinez has been responsible for overseeing and producing the fine cuisine Ti Amo has become known for.

   Born in Cuernavaca, Mexico in 1964, Enrique moved to Laguna Beach in 1978 at the age of fourteen.

   After high school graduation, Enrique worked part-time in several local restaurants such as Crown Point in Dana Point, Ferrintellis, and the Dana Point Resorts "Water Colors" restaurant under the guidance of Chef Peter Strofellino.

   Enrique began his culinary ascent at the Surf and Sand Towers Restaurant as a breakfast and lunch cook in 1981.

   In 1990 Enrique was appointed Chef de Cuisine of The Towers Restaurant on the top floor of The Surf and Sand Hotel. Employee of the Year, Epicurean Rendezvous' Best Restaurant in Southern California, Orange Coast Magazine's O.C.'s Top Chef award and Orange County Business Journal, "Dishwasher turned Chef Sparkles at Towers Restaurant" All to his credit after an 18 year tenure at The Surf and Sand Hotel and Towers Restaurant.

   Chef Enrique Martinez has been with us since 1997 and is one of our most vital components, helping to create a one of kind experience by nurturing a unique palette of flavors.
